Our refurbished devices are fairly priced because our main goal is to get them back to work (or play). Our prices cover the time it takes to get the device back into the best working condition possible, and we'll stand by our work with a 2 year warranty against device failure.
We also always want to have options available for digital inclusivity. Some people have big financial obligations and don't have a lot for their computing equipment, so we will always strive to have a wide range of options.
If your phone takes a ride in the washing machine- we'll try to help you out if possible, but it might be time for another phone.

ReTek offers multiple options for people who decide they need some tech coaching, education, or just need their devices to be strong-armed into submission again. Sometimes they get wild and unruly. See our services below for more details on how we can help you gain dominance over rebellious computing devices.

You may have devices that are collecting dust in a dark corner of a dark closet. Or maybe on your coffee table, we're not here to judge. Either way, if you need to get rid of them, we can take them. If a device has potential for further use, we'll clear the data as described later and get that into a new home for reuse, and if it's just too old we'll send it off to a sunny prairie where it can frolic and live out the rest of its days. Actually we send our e-waste to a processor who violently shreds it up to extract and sort all the resources from the device for reuse. This all happens in Canada!

Our History
Raven ReTek builds on the work previously delivered through Computers for Schools Yukon, continuing Raven ReCentre’s long-standing commitment to affordable technology, reuse, and digital inclusion across the Yukon.

We also support students, schools, non-profits, First Nations organizations and citizens, seniors, veterans, low-income residents, newcomers, job seekers, rural communities, and anyone looking for a more affordable and sustainable way to buy or maintain their technology.

Our services include device repairs, free consultations, teaching and tech advice, house calls, computer re-imaging, data recovery, and secure hard drive or SSD data destruction. Whether you are buying refurbished tech, repairing what you already have, or safely donating old devices, our team can help you find the best next step.

If your device is slow, we can help with providing some options to consider. Our devices will be an option for sale, but we're interested in you being able to continue using your own device as well. No pushy sales tactics as our primary goal is for you to get the best use out of your devices.
Device repairs
$60/hrIf possible, fixing your current device is a lot better than always buying new. We can assess your device, and provide options for fixing and upgrades if you're interested.
Teaching & Advice
$60/hrWe're selling devices, but we also want you to know how to use them. Our community impact is much less if we're simply fixing devices and redistributing. We know there's a real need for tech assistance so our clients can enjoy their devices, and be more secure.
House Call: Tech Service
$80/hrIf you can't or would rather not haul your tech issue into our shop, we can come to you. Sometimes it's better to check out a technical issue in the exact environment the issue 'lives' in. Hauling your entire home network into our shop is impossible, or very difficult.
Renting Computers and Tablets
Sometimes you don't need a device long enough to justify purchase. We might have you covered for those times when you just need a little something extra for a short time. Contact us to learn more by filling out the form below.
Hard Drive or Solid State Drive data destruction (with Certificate)
$20/driveOur process uses expensive equipment to overwrite your data with 3 passes of gibberish. None of our staff see any of the files as it just becomes a progress bar in our "Destroyinator". All computers donated get this treatment for free. Learn more.
Physical shredding of hard and solid state drives
$40/unit, over 10 units = $20/unitIf software overwriting isn't enough of a guarantee, we have a big shredder that can make your drives unrecognizable.
Data Recovery
$10/unit or $60/hr if software not availableThere aren't guarantees with data recovery. Your best chance is turning your computer off and bringing it in when you can. We can use special software to attempt finding your lost files.
Computer Re-Imaging
$60 for Mac OS, $40 for Windows 11, $25 for Linux (in most cases)Sometimes your computer feels just plain sloggy and is carrying too much baggage from repeated installations and uninstallation of various software. We can help your computer feel renewed again.
FAQs-
When you entrust us with your device we handle them as if they have top secret information on them. Does it have embarrassing health records, or merely the recipe to Uncle Morton's tuna and marshmallow salad that nobody ever liked? Either way, nobody will know because ALL data gets overwritten. This is superior to mere deletion. Even the nerdiest nerd wouldn't be able to make sense of your data (and we know a few of those). Nobody sees the files because your hard drive or solid state drive just becomes a progress bar on a screen until all the files are scribbled out. If your drive fails this process we can turn it into shrapnel with our physical drive shredder which is a brutal, yet elegant beast.

Wait for the Green Light: You will receive an email notification as soon as your device or time slot for service is ready.
Pay at Pickup: Come see us on our retail days! We accept Cash or Card (e-Transfer/invoices are available for registered non-profit organizations, First Nations organizations, and businesses only). If you’re eligible for the TEK Pass discount (10% off) we will apply it at the counter.

Bring in some documentation that proves you are a member of what you're qualifying as. If you're a student, a student ID or even an email from your teacher works.

Yes. Our first goal is finding our successful balance in our operations. With our limited staff we currently need the extra time to prepare so that we can be the best 'us' we can be on the retail days.
Retail days are: Wednesday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm.
